What is this?

Closely linked to our memory but difficult to describe, smell is a sense we often underrate. Abandoned Scents is a project dedicated to tell stories through smell.

We find everyday items in charity shops and invent background stories for them. Who did wear this tie, and on which occasion? Has this little teddy been forgotten somewhere, and why? We then try to translate these stories into scents, attach them to the items and abandon them in public spaces.

A QR code and link to this website provide the 'finder' of the objects with a possibility to discover more about/and interact with the project. We want to encourage you to go out and use your nose and sniff. Not just the roses...
